HARRISON HOT SPRINGS, BRITISH COLUMBIA
SEPT. 4-8, 1996
Okay, it was wet, it was chilly and there were some real heartbreaker collapses but how can this year's event be considered any thing less than successful? When the rain finally let up and the sun came out, the works of some 158 scuptors from four Canadian Provinces, nine US states, Russia, Holland and Japan had built some of the finest sand sculptures ever seen anywhere and I think it safe to say that they had twice as much fun as any 500 normal beachgoers would have while they were at it. Special thanks to John Green, Bob Bell, Bruno of the Conca D'Oro, Stewert Peddemore of Trolls Restaurant, and all the wonderful people of Harrison Hot Springs who made us all feel so very welcome.
We will continue to add pictures as they come in - so if you are a sandsculpting fan get your butt back here real soon!
